Setting up new Google TV just got easier

Here are 4 new ways it’s faster and easier than ever to set up your new Google TV device:

1. No app download needed. Android phones will automatically show a notification upon TV setup. On iOS, you can simply scan the QR code shown on the TV.
2. Start watching right away. Improved app installs during setup means you can start using your device sooner and worry less about running out of storage down the line.
3. Connect to your home devices more quickly. Use Google Home speakers to pause the TV, search for movies or shows and control smart home devices.
4. Customize your experience. Enjoy Google Photos screensavers, parental controls and individual profiles.

This new setup experience is first available on Hisense’s 2025 U7 series and 2025 U8 series. Later this year, it will expand to other Google TV devices, including select onn. streaming devices, available exclusively at Walmart.
