Sittin' & Worryin' about my many brain farts

Y'all, I'm getting really concerned. When I started getting older, my body broke down, but I was grateful to still have my eyes, ears, and most of my mind. I've never claimed to be the sharpest tack in the box but I've done OK as an old woman. What once was an occasional lapse, though, has become a more recurring state of brain flatulence. I read a lot, sometimes the same thing over and over and manage to still get it wrong or I'm totally blank like I didn't read it at all. I write something and read it back and say "What the h*11 am I saying?" Do I have one foot inside the nursing home door? Is there a home for burned out washed up puter nerds? Is there such thing as .... oops I had another one.

I have the same..., I just forget about it!!!

@glasskuter - I have personal experience of all this. Definitely don't worry - stress just makes things worse. In my own case, which is almost certainly different from yours, but I offer the comment in case it helps - I found that taking vitamin B12 supplements (especially the sub-lingual methylcobalamin sort) has made a big difference to my mental acuity. However, I have also noticed recently that it causes insomnia, so have now cut down to once a week. (apparently B12 is stored for years, so isn't something that needs to be taken continuously).
