OS
win 11
I've used PC Matic for several years and it has done a good job protecting me from threats. But lately their software has behaved badly enough that I can't deal with it any more. The screen that shows the computers registered to the license has two computers listed twice eating up several of my allowed registrations. When I get on the software from one of our computers, it shows that computer as not being registered in the area where I can manage it but it shows among the other registered computers where I can't manage it.

I gave up and installed Malwarebytes. So far so good except for the customer service which appears to be non existent. I have opened two tickets. The site tells me that a tech will get in touch by email. Three days later, no email and I still can't create an account. Perhaps someone can suggest an antivirus other than Norton that has good performance and good service?

You should be fine with Windows Defender and Malwarebytes for a 2nd opinion.

Hello @fmw

The response time for a new Malwarebytes support ticket is about 7 to 10 days. When another support ticket was started, the first support ticket was cancelled by the second one.

Is this related to your other post in this forum? When you've supplied a bit more information, a request for escalation can be made through the Malwarebytes Forum manager.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I had no idea any customer support anywhere was that slow. I'll stop complaining. I don't have the energy to go through another change. I'll just go elsewhere when my subscription ends next year.

Norton has a good product. I won't do business with them because they charged me one year for two subscriptions and woudn't refund one. I have no criticism of their product, just their ethics.

Me too. Someone else on the thread explained that their response time for support tickets is 7 to 10 days. I know I couldn't get away with that with my customers. It has been a hard few days wrestling with anti-virus.
