Hi there, I am new here pls excuse my rusty English
Win Ver is 23H2
Some pages will not open in Edge Browser. While the page itself appears, it is deactivated so as if I have a picture of it where I cannot interactive klicking on any given positions. This does not happen in all pages, only on some.
Mismatch in settings?
Many thanks for your comments

have you tried another browser?
what DNS servers are you using?

if you could give some details on which web pages then some one else can take a look.
hope this is of help, best of luck. Steve ..

Hello Steve,
no, I did not try another browser until now, this is a good input. I will certainly do if problems persist. Any proposals?
DNS server is unknown
I am using VPN but not within Microsoft nor edge. It is a different vendor. Disabling it did not help.
I am afraid giving you the webpage to whom it concerns will not help. There are different web pages, it happens when logging in.
The next page appears as a *.jpg picture, no interaction possible.

Microsoft Edge has its own VPN within the browser under settings > privacy, security and services.

also the settings for DNS can be seen in start > settings > network & internet
change them to IP4 primary 1.1.1.1 ... IP4 secondary 1.0.0.1
and try those DNS servers howto here

Google Chrome is an alternative browser to try and is similar to Edge.

a list of the web site or sites that you are failing to interact with ..

hope this is of help, best of luck. Steve ..

Hello Steve,
this are the answers you requested:
DNS settings changed, no significant change in the web sites, still no access.
Installed Chrome and made it to my standard browser- this helps. Forget Edge!
On the other hand: I cannot log in into this web site elevenforum.com. When trying to log in it says:
Oops! We ran into some problems.
Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console.
No details available in the browser console.
So, this input is written in Edge.
Web sites concerned are: Startseite - Wiener Netze and www.schneebergbahn.at. Both will open normally but refuse more interaction with Edge.
Many thanks for your help,
have a nice day
Norbert

both sites are working perfectly in Vivaldi browser and Edge browser this end, links, videos, page reload. no issues.
so unless it is some how blocked or restricted on your VPN it doesnt seem to be the browser or DNS.

it might be any idea to disable your VPN entirely and try using a direct internet connection to them and see how that goes.
it also maybe an idea to try on another computer then the one you are using, if that is possible.

hope this is of help, best of luck. Steve ..

Hi, yes you are correct. Both sites are working correctly with a different PC with Win10. The problem is not on the site of Schneeberg nor Wiener Netze. But here with Win11 and a different PC they don't. Disabling my VPN does not help.
So, my workaround is not to throw away this engine but use Chrome when I face again such problems...
Many thanks and have a good day,
Norbert
