Spam Removal

I have an open thread about my email problem, but as the emphasis on how to fix it may have shifted, I am posting this:

I cannot access my Centurylink email, nor Clink sites dealing with that. A person who has offered advice on another site asked me if I had ever clicked on the box in the image I see when I try to log on to the email server. I replied that I did not think I had done that, but that I could not be certain.

The first time I saw it, I suspected that it was spam, although I had never see anything of the same nature. One reason for my suspicion was the number of messages in my email that were clearly spam, messages marked as such and removed. I

So far, I have run perhaps six scanners, most of which have found items to remove, but none of which has removed whatever it is that causes the image to appear. I am now seeking spam removal expert's advice on fixing my email problem.

I don’t see why you needed to repeat the help thread. You’re asking for exactly the same help as you have here:


People are still trying to help you in that thread regardless that it appears to be a problem for Centurylink.
I actually just posted some things to consider.
