I think this one looks good (and I quite liked S02E10 - finale of star trek Picard -- glad there will be a series 3)
I prefer all the star trek stuff a zillion times more than all the "Star wars" stuff -- one of the few times when visiting a movie theatre I walked out of a Star Wars movie as I was so bored with it. !!!

I think prequals are always rather boring as you know what is coming next. Even Enterprise was a bit dull in places.

New series should go beyond Star Trek TNG. With slipstream drive, they can explore far further than Pike can.

The Star Trek Motto is to boldy go where no one has gone before. With Pike, it is a case for us viewers of "been there, done that, got the T shirt".

A much more fun series would be Star Trek Time Bureau with Dulmer and Lucsley. Their chief nightmare messing with time is JT Kirk, followed closely by JL Picard.

Another would be Star Trek - Starfleet Corps of Engineers headed by Scotty.

I think a follow up to Deep Space Nine would also be good.

As someone who has hated every trek show since Voyager I must say Strange New Worlds feels like Star Trek to me. Sure aside from visuals it feels more like TNG than the 60s show I'm okay with that. It felt very 90s Trek to me which none of the other shows have been able to come close to, IMHO. I can't wait for the next episode!
