Does anyone know where all these apps are located for the start menu? Mainly looking to take them and group them into folders in the start menu to clean it up a bit.
I have already been in the normal locations and have moved things into folders, etc. But those there is a lot of these still showing in the start menu that I cannot find.

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
C:\Users\[USER NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

So I am at a loss and cannot figure it out. So figured I would come ask people way smarter than me.

@Ghot sorry about that. I thought I put it in there and just realized I added the info to my profile system specs not the post.
I am using Start11.
I recently installed it, and 70% of what I was able to do was after I installed Start11.

Mainly looking to take them and group them into folders in the start menu to clean it up a bit.
If you used W11 Start menu you could easily group them into folders and configure it to your heart's desire.

So I unloaded Start11 so I was back to running stock Win start menu.
For a lot of those apps in the start menu that I could not find before, there is no option to move them to another folder or group them (at least not that I can find). When I select the item and try to move it to another folder I get the do not enter circle (circle with a line going diagonal through it). Right clicking on the icon gives no options either. I can pin it to task/start bar/menu or uninstall it.

You may pin your chosen apps to Start Menu and then group them together by dropping one on the other. Then you can name the folder whatever you want by double-clicking on the group. Unless you are trying to do something altogether different. Otherwise, maybe I'm don't understand your ultimate goal.

If you're talking mostly about the UWP Apps, they reside in shell:appsfolder,
there's not a damn thing you can do with them!

Great software, I use it myself but as you have probably figured out, grouping isn’t available in Start11 (Unless you look at post# 11 below)
Also, I don’t believe you can group them in Windows 11 either, to reflect in Start11. As Edwin says;

there's not a damn thing you can do with them!

The only icons you can group as far as I know, exist in the following folders.:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

And

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

Also (sorry)

With Start11, you could abandon the modern style and go with the "Windows 10 Style"
Create your groups or just pin Apps to the right.
After you're done, hide the pinned apps on the left (Configure Menu - scroll down on right, open Advanced Options)

Clip-1152.png

And you end up with something like the following full screen menu example:
Note, this was a quick setup example for you, you could do much better.

Thanks on the nice rig comment. I really like it but think I may have gone a bit overboard. But then am like well maybe not. Since I probably wont do much of upgrading again so might as well make it last and spend the money if I have it to get the best I can so that the rig lasts more than 3 months before being outdated. Great software, I use it myself but as you have probably figured out, grouping isn’t available in Start11 (Unless you look at post# 11 below)
Also, I don’t believe you can group them in Windows 11 either, to reflect in Start11. As Edwin says;

The only icons you can group as far as I know, exist in the following folders.:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\

And

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\
Yeah those are the only ones I have been able to find and can group or move into folders I create so I just dont have a a hundred icons in the start menu and can make it a little bit more streamlined.

I may have to try that. I have not tried any of the newer games yet. Ben just running the older ones I loved playing beforehand. But I also think if I start to play some of the newer games my wife will kill me and the kiddos would get mad they cannot use the computer to print out Disney Princess Coloring pages and type up random letters in MS Word LOL

From what I've read... even though it's an old, old game, Crysis on ultra will still bring a new rig to it's knees.

Hence the much used joke...

"But can it run Crysis?"

Crysis is a first-person sci-fi shooter series known for its impressive visuals, cool nanosuit powers, and open-ended gameplay. The first game in the series, released in 2007, was often used as a PC benchmark given the demands it would make of PCs at the time. Crysis was so demanding that it spawned the now infamous catchphrase, “But can it run Crysis?”, which was used in the years following the game’s release to deliver a verdict on a PC spec.

I did not know that. I remember the older game but some reason I thought you were referring to a newer game with the same name. I am going to have to check it out and I will let you know what I find out.

It's on sale for $4.99 at GOG.com. See the link above.

I don't know if it's "still" that hard on hardware, but it might be.
What I remember most was that no matter how you upgraded.... the game just got "more" detail.

Like more blades of grass, more leaves on trees... etc.
More, more, more... till your vid card melted. :D

I don't know if the versions available today, like the one on GOG, still use the original CryEngine 2.
They may be... "dumbed down".
