Same here. Oddly it reminds me of the Windows 8 concept of "Favourites" first followed by "All Apps" on a linked screen.

Specifically, I like the Pinned section in the menu. I also pin my most frequently used programs to the taskbar. If I want a different, less frequently used program, searching for it is fast enough for me.

My guess is that your comments probably reflect Microsoft's research and telemetry data regarding what users are actually using and why. Hence why they have taken the direction they have with the W11 Start menu.

Well, I tried it and it felt so tired and ancient. I may not have the popular view, but in the end the W10 menu was quite good and flexible.
