Suddenly Word has started trying to get my location on my work laptop.
Edition Windows 11 Enterprise
Version 24H2
OS build 26100.7623
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.275.0
Word version 2511.
I located a support article here: Users get the message "Location is turned off in system settings" when working with Word files in Windows - Microsoft Support I found a few solutions. One enable location services. I have that disabled for a reason so I don't want to do that. Two disable location with group policy or through a registry change to HKLM. I can't do either because I don't have admin access. Also going to file > account > manage settings and uncheck turn on optional connected experiences. However that's already unchecked. I thought this was may be related to opening up a file I had downloaded from sharepoint however I got it from a blank document as well. So far I'm only getting that from word. Does anyone know how to fix this annoyance?
