I was able to successfully upgrade my Dell XPS 13 9360 laptop from Win10 Pro to Win11 Pro with a fresh, clean install (now on Ver 23H2). This is a 5.5 year-old laptop with 8 GB of RAM, a i5-8250U CPU and a 1 TB Adlink NVMe. Win11 runs fine with no problems including my whole MS Office Suite, maybe even a bit zippier than Win10. The laptop also boots in 17 seconds to the lock screen. Overall, very pleased with Win11. Only hack I employed was the registry modification to remove the "More Options" from the right-click menus so that all the options are on one single menu (like in Win10).

Hello @Dennis72 and welcome to ElevenForum. :-)

And... most of us started with that hack.
Now... we get calls from Microsoft asking us how we did so many other hacks. :D

Just kidding, and good job. (y) (y)

    …still on a horse.
Welcome, Dennis, I have sucessfully updated 4 new pc builds starting with W10 software, to W11, but missing out that hack, from ignorance, mostly. My sixth gen i3 in my Lenovo laptop is too old to update without bypassing Microsofts rules, so I haven't bothered, as it rarely gets used

MY oldest laptop running 11 pro is a dell D630 with a core 2 duo t8300 cpu and 4gb ram with an 80 gb Sata 1 drive, and it is activated.
I had a win7 ultimate key and did not want it to expire so several years ago i put win 10 pro on there. Just last week wiped drive and installed 11 pro from usb using Rufus. IT did the job great.

I also tried an SSD Samsung EVO and it was faster on the old dell but not that much better as it is only SATA 1.

You want a fast win 11 experience, you need SATA 3, SSD, and around 8gb ram. CPU from more than 10 yrs ago are fast enough. Like a Phenom II x4 955 I have, the machine is snappy.
