Solved System Image back-up using EaseUS To Do

I created a System Image back-up for my new Surface Pro9 using EaseUS Todo onto a 1T USB. The process displaced Backup successful message after over 25 minutes. Checking the Image using the EaseUS ToDo tool in the app did not find any errors. I then proceeded to create an Emergency Disk on a USB stick.

I understand that I should be able to use File Explorer on the Backup drive to find my files. However, the USB contains 10 versions of Disc0 which are roughly 4GB each. Please advise what I am doing wrong

It appears the USB drive you put your backup on is formatted in FAT32. FAT32 has a limitation of 4 GB file size. That may be why you have several 4 GB files on your backup drive. I use Macrium, but most imagine software will make multiple files of an image if backing up to multiple DVDs or FAT32 partitions. If backin,g up to an external USB drive, I recommend formatting that drive in NTFS. NTFS doesn't have the 4 GB file size limitation.

The default allocation size is fine. The file size limit of NTFS is in exabytes.
