Taskbar blocks on the right, including the 'date and time' block, the 'WiFi, Speaker, Battery' block, and the '^' block are dimmed. The blocks lighten up on mouseover. The 'OneDrive' block is not dimmed.

Is there a setting that I can change to undim the blocks?

Not dimmed here, but I have not made any tweaks to my taskbar nor am I using any third party app.

I don't use 3rd party apps, and I did not really tweak my Taskbar (The only thing I can remember is that I turned on the Windows Security icon in the Taskbar. That Windows Security icon is undimmed, side-by-side with the undimmed OneDrive icon that was always there in the Taskbar.)

I must have made some tweaks elsewhere that caused the dimming of the blocks in the Taskbar, but where did I make the tweak or tweaks or tweak combination? :look:

You say these icons brighten when you hover over them. It almost sounds like it's related to a theme. Go into settings-personalization and change your theme. If you're using light change it to dark and vice versa. Even go so far as changing your background picture and colors to test if your personalization settings are involved in any way with this weird problem.

It does sound like a theme setting. If you can't find a fix you can try a repair install.

They lighten up for me when hovering over. It's a feature when in dark mode and a coloured task bar.

Good to know that. I'm a light theme user myself so wasn't sure how dark mode affected the GUI.

Bingo! It's a Personalization > Theme issue! There are themes that dim those Taskbar blocks, and there are other themes that don't dim those Taskbar blocks. So, now I can choose from the latter the ones that I like best :)

I will mark this thread 'Solved', thanks folks! (y)
