Taskbar with many pinned icons, cant see all open apps at the same time like in win 10?

I have a ton of pinned items in the taskbar, so if i open more than say 2 or 3 apps, i can only see one on the far right side?

Is that how this is with win 11, they then force you to use taskview 2d view to find the other open apps rather than just clicking on it in the taskbar?

If so this is a major step back in productivity, also no way to multi layer the task bar to make it 2 high etc?

I've got the same issue, or a pretty similar one. I've got threads here and on a few other forums, no one has a solution. I'm literally making the reinstallation media for Win10 right now.

Combined icon taskbar applications won't restore from taskbar after minimized

Open an app window (App A.1) on Windows 11 (Edge as an example) Minimize the window, Win+D, Win+M, minimize button, doesn't matter. Click App A.1's taskbar icon to restore - window will restore where it should and have focus Open another instance of App A.1 , (we will call this App A.2)...
