Taskbar - Wont Resize - Instead Gets Micro-Sized & Floats Over Desktop

Windows 10 + 11 Pro x64 Dual Boot
I'm getting bizarre results when I try to resize the taskbar to double the normal size.
It works fine in Windows 10 but not in 11. I either get a taskbar mid-screen or a microscopic one about 2mm thick at bottom.
Hiding and then unhiding it momentarily shows Taskbar normal - sized at bottom but when I unlock and try resizing it occurs.
I use Stardock Start 11 in both W10 and W11 (Pro) but its settings are all default regarding Taskbar, meaning I can rely on Explorer to do my resizing.
I ran an sfc /scannow in Admin level Powershell & it found some corrupted files, log attached.
Any ideas?

I have read online that one can no longer resize the taskbar unless a registry key is added.

Doubt it as Explorer is going to be UAWP like. It is already in Dev.
Registry mods will be very slowly disappearing as code will follow xml structure.
This, I assume, to prevent customization but for more likely for stability reason.
This outcome is yet to be seen as the OS is in a very transitional phase.

Here's the tutorial to resize the Taskbar...

BUT... you need to perform another tweak, for the tutorial to work.
Part B... here, will allow the Taskbar size tutorial (above), to function...

Ghot,
The tutorial is exactly the same as the OP referred to.
The translucent TB tip using vivetool does not work in Dev and actually prevent explorer to start at all upon restart.
I will test in Beta and post back.

I don't use that translucent taskbar item but instead I use Transparewnt Taskbar app which has worked fine throughout.
I'm not on the Insider programme.

Yes, I know that. :-)
It's just the ElevenForum tutorial.

All the Vivetool fix does, is "undo" what KB5022913 did to Taskbar related things.
I don't even know what Windows 11 version the OP is running.

I'm on the regular Windows 11 (22621.1344).
The only 3rd party tools I run are Winaero Tweaker and TranslucentTB.

So... if you run any other 3rd party tweakers... they may be affecting your results.

Before they were updated, KB5022913 also broke: Explorer Patcher, StartAllBack and Start11
So... things are... complicated. :-)

Yes, I know that. :-)
It's just the ElevenForum tutorial.

All the Vivetool fix does, is "undo" what KB5022913 did to Taskbar related things.
I don't even know what Windows 11 version the OP is running.
Well, it works well in Beta.
But not in DEV, probably because Explorer is running as an UAWP now. :cautious:

Back in mid 2021, I was on the Insider DEV channel.
As soon as it became available, I switched to the Release channel... Oct. 6th 2021.
Well... it was "released" Oct. 5th, but I was busy, so I didn't switch till Oct. 6th. :-)

I am able to resize the taskbar in Beta. So vivetool disable feature works and the taskbar is really nifty looking.

Believe or not I have been in Dev since 2018 and would not give it up for the world!
I am very, very unwell. :devilish:

Doubt it as Explorer is going to be UAWP like. It is already in Dev.
Registry mods will be very slowly disappearing as code will follow xml structure.
This, I assume, to prevent customization but for more likely for stability reason.
This outcome is yet to be seen as the OS is in a very transitional phase.
