I like to have the taskbar to automatically hide, but I've noticed that when I have File Explorer open the taskbar doesn't pop-up when I move my mouse to get it to reappear. Gets really annoying, anyone else have this problem?

You're probably running file explorer full screen. Drag the edges of the file explorer window until the window is slightly smaller, especially at the bottom leave enough space for the taskbar. You should then see your task bar pop up when you hover. I've had a couple of apps, not all, I've had to do this way in order for me to see my taskbar when I hover over the bottom edge of the screen.Windows should remember the size of the file explorer window after you drag the bottom edge.

I notice that whether the screen is Maximized or has been Restored to a smaller size the Full Screen [F11] feature doesn't show the Taskbar on either Win10 or Win11 but does pop down the title bar of the active window.

Your suggestion seems to be working, I wonder why this happens with only File Explorer and not with any other programs running in full screen?

I wonder why
Like I already tried to point out, it's an enigma─one that is about equally as trippy as the one in the video I linked... 😂

Here's how to permanently turn or turn off the taskbar using Control A until you hover the mouse cursor over the taskbar.
