Ten Forums as a Search engine?

I was just reading the thread about MS trying to get more users to run Edge. I decide to load my Win 11 Home VM to install Firefox and see if MS did make it harder to change the default browser. Before I downloaded Firefox, I checked to see how easy it or hard it is to change the default Search engine. To my surprise Ten Forums is at the bottom of the list. Does anyone know why Ten Forums is listed as a search engine?

Hey, friend! It ain't listed as a search engine really. It's listed in that "search engine" list because you've done searches on that site before, and FF/Chrome recorded that fact. If you go to a new site and search it a couple of times and then check your Settings for FF and the options for "search engines," you'll find the new site in there.

(It's actually not such a bad idea to have 10Forums and 11Forum as optional choices in there.)

I've got a vague recollection of setting it up many years back, but can't for the life of me remember how I did it, I've checked TF files and templates and can't see where it's giving the browser the hint to do the search from - I'm going to keep looking as I'd like to do it for this site too.

It is very handy! When I did a couple of searches to test, most of the results were for post on Ten Forums. The rest were Ads.

I've just found how I did this, and added it to Eleven Forums
