thinking about taking a microsoft certification

I know this is off topic , but has anyone taken an azure certification ?
im thinking about doing a certification to land me a helpdesk job.
i figure i can just do some practice questions and schedule a exam without paying for an expensive course.

If you have zero experience with cloud (and specifically Azure) you would likely not pass AZ104. There is quite a bit of knowledge they assume you have for that one. AZ900 is passable without any prior experience and the Microsoft training should be sufficient Exam AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals - Certifications.

In general help desk roles cover more than cloud, and some have no cloud. Think about what you want, end goal, and focus on training for that. If its IT I would start with the A+
