TrayToolbar - add Toolbars back into Windows 11

Has anyone tried this yet?

TrayToolbar - Github - Provide the replacement of add new toolbar function that was cancelled in windows 11.

If you have, any comments?

It does not really do much and It has not been updated in 14 months.
No options to change to system dark either and no way to remove the .lnk
(shortcut) extension.

I just tried it and I'm unimpressed since I couldn't get it to work at all. Kudos to the author for the attempt though.

.Net 6.1 needs to be installed in order for it to work.

I installed it from the NET link on the TrayToolbar Github site.

After launching it, Check for hidden icons in the tray, it should be there.
Click on it and it will prompt you to select a folder where your shortcuts reside.
That about the gist of it.
Can't tell you more as I have already uninstalled it.

StartAllBack does it for me.

SystemTrayMenu available in the Microsoft Store puts back a toolbar in Windows 11. It stays hidden until you invoke it and you can paste shortcuts here from your Programs Start Menu.

I do miss the toolbar creation option & the ability to run Xmeters but I like the W11 layout and the Start menu without the 'Recommended'
wasted space. (And AFAIK, only ExplorerPatcher gives me that)

For anyone running ExplorerPatcher & StartAllBack together , do you have conflicts?

Not I, can't go to All Apps immediately! Too much wasted space!
Still the best Menu, W10...

As much as I have respected your advices and opinions for a while, I must be a rebel on this one.
I like this now, especially with the ability to create some folders.
Please don't get mad at me.

It works with ExplorerPatcher as well but using the Win10 taskbar layout.
I do get to keep the Win10 menu and I am OK with that.
Now can I reduce the size of the opened items?
(See area highlighted in yellow)

I couldn't find any reference to Taskbar Toolbars in the StartAllBack product page.

Please would you confirm that you got them back just by installing StartAllBack without installing anything else {ExplorerPatcher, ...].

I'll be updating to 22H2 sometime soon and I understand that my previous solution [the UndockingDisabled method] won't work with that.

In addition, reduce the taskbar height to just a single row.
