Back in WIndows 10, I managed to find a way to make the holes in the filmstrip border used for video thumbnails transparent, so that it would show the color of the desktop or whatever windows was behind it instead of white. As this was years ago, I have no idea what I did to get that to happen, and have been unable to find anything with google. Anyone ahve any ideas?

That doesn't seem to be what I meant. I'm wanting to have the sprocket holes transparent (instead of the current white), but have the rest of the border as it currently is.

I sorta pulled it off!
I replaced imageres.dll #194 with the one from Windows 7... 🤷‍♂️

Thanks! I'll try that later this week. This does sound somewhat familiar.

Yep. Replacing 193 and 194 in imageres.dll.mun with the icons from Win7 did the trick.
