Hello all,
New member - I have a Lenovo V14 G2 ITL Core i5 8GB 256GB SSD that was running Windows 11 and Archlinux in dual boot successfully till last weekend when I ran a windows update, I suspect the update rebooted the laptop automatically whilst I was away from the desk. Upon restarting it went back on Archlinux as it is my main OS. Normally, I just have to restart the laptop and select it to boot into Windows (pressing the F12 key to get the option) for the update to finish.
But this time, Windows went missing from the UEFI list.
I have tried to repair the UEFI by rebooting the laptop using a Windows 11 USB stick, but the hard drive isn't listed by diskpart - after a bit of research I believe it is due to the IRST driver missing (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology). I have search the web for a solution, to load the driver onto the said USB stick to no avail.
Is there a way to load the driver into the USB stick or download a version with it already?
Is there another way to repair the UEFI files?
Thank you for your time and hopefully your assistance.
