using Win 11 send DVDs + CDs to family

I have power iso. I have Google Drive and One drive and access to YouTube. I am not very techy.
What is the best way for me to send a lot of my CD's and DVD's to family?
I tried using One drive but the first file kept playing over and over again and it never got to the second file or the 4th or 5th.
I use Win 11 on my pc to do all this that is why I posted here.

Might want to consider a torrent site for this.
You could package them all in one big zip file, then upload it.

For the regular large file hosting sites... DropBox still looks the cheapest.
$9.99 / month for 2TB.

Hi there

Create physical media and use "Snail Mail" or create mkv / mp4 / avi , put on a usb thumb drive and also use "Snail Mail". I believe postmen / women still exist in most countries. !!!!.

Then at the other end just play the device via smart TV, computer or whatever -- VLC will play any of those formats.

Nothing wrong in "Old technology" when it's simple to use and effective. !!!!

Of course not.

I don't follow your first post. Did you manage to copy over all the files that you wished to?

The small quantity of videos I've shared were done via a USB flash drive. I tend to avoid the cloud.

My Daughter always uses a usb flash drives for video's and photos. Its handy that it plugs into her phone and I get the ones I want.

That's very interesting about the flash drive but I'm not so sure how that works. Do you use a third party?
For example if I have a file like a video I want to send to my G-daughters I have an iPhone so do I buy a flash Drive for iPhones?
I can see doin it with my PC but you mention "phone" which most flash drives will not accommodate.
I have files on CDs and DVDs which I want to send. Do I need to rip them which I read but no nothing about.
I do have a a IXpand flash drive for the iPhone which works with the pc on the other end.
So how do I get a file from a DVD to my G-daughter?

Another option is just to put all the files on a flash drive and send the flash drive to your G-daughter.


This is a USB 3.0 - 2TB flash drive (from an unknown company ofc), but it's dirt cheap.

I'm not sure what to think. The first few 5 stars are for things that don't remotely resemble flash drives.

However, Newegg lists 2TB USB drives that cost in the $30US range, so maybe they exist.

Probably is a scam. :/

I checked on Newegg too. When I chose the options shipped and sold by Newegg... the prices skyrocketed.

convert your CDs to MP4, upload them to One Drive or Google drive, then share the One Drive/Google Drive folder to your family. You can find step by step procedure how to share cloud folders on Google or Youtube.

It appears that no 2TB drives are sold by Newegg at all.

There were a couple of cheap 2TB drives shipped by Newegg. They may be scams of a sort too, but I assume that they'd be returnable.
