Hello,

My Computer has an issue where I try to sign in to Visual Studio with my Microsoft Account using 2FA on Microsoft Authenticator but it's just looping to enter credentials. Tried to use also PIN code to do authentication.

Today is patch tuesday, so I am going to do updates and do some cleaning before taking a image of system. Maybe it will solve the issue?

Windows 11 24H2 version 26100.3323
Visual Studio version 17.13.2

Hmmmm. I have been using Visual Studio all day today and yesterday and have not run into this problem. I don't use 2FA, but I haven't had to sign in for months now.

Have you recently updated VS 2022? I haven't, but maybe something changed. I'll check for updates and post back if my system screws up.

Is your MS account in good working order?

Tried a couple Community installations today; no issues.

Maybe either repair the installation, or temporarily disable MFA on your account to see if it’s that. Don’t leave it like that of course.

Thank you for all the replies. I think I found the reason, I changed Options for Account and chose to use System Web Browser instead of Windows Authentication Broker. Thats broken somehow? I did "full" clean before trying that.

My Microsoft Account is working fine everywhere else. But this seems to work now.
