Vivaldi uninstall doesn't remove files

1. Open the run box by pressing the Windows Key + R and type msconfig

2. System Configuration Utility box will open and by default you are on general tab.

3. On the General tab, click the selective startup and make sure that load system service and load startup items both have checked mark.

4. Click on services tab

5. Put a check mark on Hide All Microsoft Services > This is a very important part as if you miss to click on this, computer might not boot properly or permanently and will end up on clean installation.

6. Once Hide all Microsoft Services have checked mark on it, click on Disable All

7. Click on the Startup Tab and click open task manager. This will open another window which contains all your startup applications on the administrator account.

8. Disable all application that you're not using. You can simply just click on them and select disable.

9. Click OK , Apply and close the configuration utility

10. If the pc asked you to restart your pc.

I think the idea is to keep all your profile data in case you need to uninstall and reinstall Vivaldi for some reason.

I uninstalled Vivaldi browser because it was sluggish starting. Brave and Edge pretty much instant, Vivaldi several seconds. Anyway I was browsing my programs drive and I found the Vivaldi folder was still there and all the files inside it. I'll get rid of it, no problem but shouldn't it be removed by the uninstall if the program is properly written and implemented?

No. Unfortunately tons of files/folders and registry entries will stay there even though you uninstall software. The only true way to delete EVERY file etc is to use an uninstaller software like REVO Uninstaller or IObit Uninstaller. If you use those to install the software it creates a file of every entry made when the software installs and then when you uninstall any software uninstall it by using the Uninstall software and it will then remove evrything otherwise I go through both program file locations via file explorer and delete all the leftover stuff and I am very good with the registry so i go in there and delete everything as well and i use the program Reg Organizer ver 8.91(newest i think currently) and its a great program. Its never messed up my PC yet..lol. Yet i say.
