Years ago, I had installed a WD MyCloud in my network and at the time I was running Windows 7 Pro. I then migrated over to Windows 10 via upgrade. I noticed a "Western Digital NAS" entry in device manager with "WDMyCloud" device listed under it. There is a driver "wd_mycloud_2_2_0.dll" that shows up in the properties for the WDMyCloud in Windows 10. This is not the case for my Windows 11 machine and there is no such entry in Device Manager. I am wondering if this driver was automatically installed back when I first put the WDMyCloud in my network as part of some WD Application. It's been a while and I don't know which application would have installed this device driver. The nice thing about this driver is that it actually shows a WDMyCloud icon in the Network as opposed to a generic Windows Server icon for all storage devices. Wondering if anyone on the forum encountered this and can shed some light.
