Generally, all you have to do is plug the webcam in and it should work. Especially if it worked in Windows 10. That's not to say it will work . . . only that it should. :(

Can you give me the link for the article you referenced?

As far as I know, there is no driver available for the Orbit from Logitech do you have a copy of it? If not search for a universal webcam driver, delete current driver, plug in webcam and turn on and it should sort it's self out. Make an image first and make sure your driver is good

All new OS's have the possibility of no longer supporting old hardware, so it's possible that webcams of that age are on the list that isn't supported anymore. If you tried the Windows 10 drivers and it still doesn't work, then it will NOT work in Windows 11 (as they use similar/same drivers)

What software Logitech software were you using with the cam prior to upgrading. Also what is the specific model of the camera?

My mainly question is if it is true that win11 dont support old webcams?
Yes, it is possible the camera is too old for Windows 11, but Logitech would be the best people to ask - Logitech forums

Anyway, I have a Logitech Brio and mine works fine. Also have the Logitech "Capture" software installed. All good here.

Might be one of those very few rare occasions to try a driver identifying program.

Snappy Diver Installer ORIGIN (make sure it's the ORIGIN version, best downloaded from majorgeeks.com)

Unzip and run the SDIO_x64_R742.exe

Run the option Download Indexes Only (DO NOT run either of the drivers options)

Look for the camera drivers and install/update them.

No matter how tempting, do not run any other updates - totally unnecessary if your system is otherwise running OK.

I have a relatively new Logitech HD Pro C920 webcam and all I have to do is attach it to a USB port. I also have an ancient Microsoft LifeCam that only has to be attached it to a USB port. Through the years I've had various webcams that only had to be attached to a USB port.

I have never installed drivers for a webcam. Period.

Unplug the webcam. If possible, uninstall any drivers you may have installed. Restart the computer, then plug the webcam back in.

Next, go to Settings>Bluetooth & devices>Cameras. Under Connected cameras, see if your webcam is listed. That's where I find mine listed.

If you see your webcam, it should now work.

There are "driver packs", and there are driverpacks, including io ..... and then there's SDIO.
