What's a realistic max speed from a Powerline Adapter?

I am getting a maximum speed of around 180 Mbps from my powerline. Is this a fairly good number for a Powerline adapter? I am using the TPLink Powerline AV2000 series.

Thanks.

Copilot says that typical is more like 500-700 Mbps, but that lots of things -- especially household wiring shortcuts and kinks -- can make that number lower. If you can live with it, do. Otherwise, troubleshooting power line performance is pretty tricky and time intensive. And FWIW, I've seen worse on my own home wiring setup.

Powerline adapters are available with different speeds. I use a pair to connect an upstairs TV to the net because wifi reception there is poor. The adapter is rated at 100 mbps max and I get around 80, which is more than enough for the needs of the TV.

Thanks I am doing the same thing. The TV is sitting in a high interference area. My version of the adapter is supposed to be 1 Gbps, but it's probably a lot less.
