I'd like to create a button on my steam deck(for streaming, not portable console) to run WhatsApp. To do that I need to point out where the app is located on my ssd. Like did with Steam - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe
But for WhatsApp? I have no idea where it is. I can't find it in program files or program files(x86) so where is it?

Hello. To find an app/ program location:
Search for the app in the start menu, then right click it and choose open file location.

Usually, rather than the actual program files, this will bring up a shortcut in file explorer. like so:

Chances are you can link to this shortcut, copy as path.

If not, right click the shortcut, then click open file location

And you will get the file location.

Thx. I eventually found it, but have you tried what you are suggesting with WhatsApp? That's the actual screenshot from my machine - BitComet_0zfJuXsmwO.png

You have to open the stream deck app as an administrator as WindowsApps is a hidden system folder to which you won't have access even if your system account has administrator privileges.

You have to search for the program rather than find it in the start menu. Thanks for putting the path up there for future people :)
