When I start Microsoft Edge (mainly because some application opens it), it closes Chrome and if I try to restart it my tabs are gone, but if I try to sign out and then click on cancel I can find them again.
How can I avoid this? It is sort of annoying.
I think there must be a solution, but I don't know what I should do.
Thanks,
Matt

In Edge settings-start home and new tab section-"when Edge starts" make sure "open Tabs from previous session" is selected.

Also , from what you stated, it seems you have not made Chrome your default browser. I don't use Chrome so I'm saying this from memory. Go to settings-apps-default apps-find Google Chrome in the list- click the right arrow next to it-Check the box to make Chrome your default browser.

I meant the Chrome tabs disappear when I try to restart it after it is closed or crashes, although they reappear if I do the above. I don't know why Chrome does not stay open if I open Edge?
It is OK if I try to open files, but within programs it is Edge that opens files.
Well, I am going to change everything to Chrome and see if it works because I can see that some files still have Edge as default in settings. I thought when programs go to a browser it is htm or html anyway, but I am no expert.
Thanks.
