Both are existing HP desktops I own, and both can run Windows 11.

The specs for both are listed below under My Computer.

The Intel Core i7 is pretty much as it came from HP but won't stay that way very long. The AMD has had extensive hardware upgrades, (additional RAM and an NVIDIA video card). Both will be dual boot machines

I will be using one of them at home while the other one will be for teaching Windows 10 at the Senior Activity & Wellness Center. The one at the Center will be used one day per week, while the one at home will be used daily.

Although I haven't been able to figure out if one's faster/more robust than the other, I know there are those here who can tell with just what has been listed here and in My Computer.

All information will be greatly appreciated.

What's the Intel CPU? A Ryzen 5 2600 is better than an I7-860. 2600 vs. I7-860. An I7-11700K is much better than the 2600. I7-11700K vs 2600.

I picked an old I7 and a recent example as extremes, just to point out that "I7" isn't an adequate descriptor of the CPU.

Ah, now that I think I can understand. The Intel system may be around 24% faster than the AMD system. Even with the AMD system having 8 GB more RAM and an nVidia GTX 1050 Ti, I'm thinking I should keep the Intel system here and take the AMD to the Center.

Am I right?

The performance between generation varies. The latest gen usually performs better. So you have to be specific about the CPU generation. An i7 is not always better than Ryzen 5.

If you're not gonna be gaming... keep the Intel machine.
You can always add a vid card to it if you want to.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor. I couldn't find a "generation" anywhere on or in the box it came in.
