Recently bought new PSU and noticed it came with 3 PCI-E cables shown in pic. Two have an 8 pin on each end and other cable has 8 pin on one end and two 8 pins on other end. Which is best for my card which requires two 8 pin connectors. See my card in system info. Believe just made one split to save on cable management and will give enough power to card. PSU is 850W ASUS

Use the cables that have an 8 pin on each end.
Never use a Y cable (for vid cards), unless there's no other option.

Thanks for your thoughts on it. Certainly made me think, spoke to ASUS took me awhile just to explain what i meant which made me feel uncertain to there answer of it's okay to use it.

The normal recommendation is to use a separate cable to each connector on the card.

However, if the card in question is the RTX 3060 ti in you listed specs, it's a 200W card. (Asus my run it higher than the baseline.) A single 8 pin PCI-E connector (150W) plus the power from the slot (75W) would be enough to power it, but without much margin.

Short version: it ought to be OK to use a daisy chained cable with a 3060 ti. But if I had a couple of single cables, I'd prefer to use them.

I admit that I'm not much into cable hiding.

This was my thought from the start. Never used or even saw a split cable until now for a PSU in all my years buying one. Using PSU calculator have plenty of power for what is hooked up in all.

Thanks for answering to my post !!

Gamers Nexus did a video about the 'how many cables and why' question, it goes into detail about how the more powerful cards can spike in power way above the rated amount, with a PSU that maybe cannot handle the extra load (and the spike can occur several times a second in some cases) the unit might just shutdown.
Using 'pigtail ' connectors in some scenarios can exacerbate the situation as the GPU can call for more power during a spike than the single cable + PCIe slot can provide.
All this depends on the GPU and PSU versions and ratings and use case as later cards and power units were manufactured with transient spikes in mind and the above explanation is very simplified, the video does a much better job of explaining the possible variables.
Using seperate cables per socket is a good idea regardless if you have the cables already but the 3060Ti may not suffer from the transient spike issue, or at least not as bad as the higher power cards, so might be fine.

Have to agree with the general sentiments here as well. If I have a video card that requires multiple power inputs, I prefer to have them not coming from the same cable. And if I am forced to use a single cable with shared plugs like that, I usually start shopping for a new component (PSU in this case) to alleviate that issue. Granted, this is not always doable, but even with my old X58based motherboard, which saw a plethora of video cards in the time that I used it, with the PSUs I used with it I was generally able to keep multiple plugs separated by connection (though I could never 100% verify they were on multiple rails or not).

i seem to recall on my video card which takes 3 x 8 pin's, that EVGA noted that I should run a dedicated cable to 2 of the 8 pin powers, and if I had to run a pigtail, it should be connected to 2 of the 8 pin powers specifically.

The recommendation from me is the same as others, run 2 of the single cables if you have them, versus one cable with a pig-tail end.

This was only a question because this type of split cable came with the PSU and i actually never seen one come with it before in all of PSU i bought.

All in all i am using two 8 Pin cables on Graphics card to the PSU all is fine as usual. Thanks to all !
