Why Doesn't Windows 11 Install through Windows 10 Updates on a PC that Meets Windows 11 Health Check

My nephew has a new PC that meets are windows 11 requirements. We know windows 11 can be clean installed with an ISO, but why hasn't it come through as a windows 10 update yet?

I believe Windows 11 is being released in phases to compatible devices. He can manually upgrade by downloading the media creation tool.

Because it's a gradual rollout over several months, use the instalation assistant for an in place upgrade would seem appropriate? UK - Download Windows 11 or US - Download Windows 11 depending on where you are.

Thanks guys, that's what I thought. It's a gradual update or he can update it himself. It's a Dell computer. I was wondering if maybe Dell is holding the Windows 11 update back.

Ensure he has created a disk image backup in case of problems.

He should get the updates when he does the "check for updates" thing ! If not Brink always post when a new W11 is available !!

Media Creation Tool isn't required for this. You can just download and install Windows 11 Installation Assistant, which is the easiest method by far. But remember it will automatically reboot your computer within 30 minutes after the upgrade installation finishes. You can still also grab the ISO file later if needed.
