widgets be gone

I suddenly have widgets showing up on my FF browser. I tried to get them gone but what was suggested didn't work. Still there. Do not like stuff showing up that I didn't ask for -- I'm sure you guys will help...thanks.

I don't know if you can physically delete the widgets but you can hide them. Click on the pencil icon (Customize) in the lower right-hand corner of a New Tab. In the middle of the customization slide-out control panel, you should see this:



Slide the Widgets control to the left to turn-off widgets. Hope this helps!

If you want to completely kill Widgets... REVO Uninstaller free can do that.
After removing it, make sure you do the "Scan" for leftovers and remove them too.
