Windows 11 Pro
My PC started to have BSOD during start up a few days after a fresh install. Once the BSOD started becoming regular i did another fresh install of Win 11 and after a few days it started happening again. This time it has only happened when shutting down a program.

have attached the the log file below.

I hope someone can shed some light on what might be causing the issue. If you need any further details please let me know.

The findings were typical of malfunctioning hardware.

Please perform the following steps: (in sequence)

1) Post a link for the motherboard website

2) Run Tuneup plus > post a share link

3) Turn off Windows fast startup:

4) Create a new restore point:

5) Run the crucial scanner > post a link

6) Run Sea Tools Long generic test (all drives) > post images or share links

https://www.seagate.com/content/dam...ds/seatools/_shared/downloads/100869623_B.pdf

https://www.seagate.com/content/dam...shared/downloads/SeaToolsWindowsInstaller.exe

7) Run HD Tune (all drives) (run a non-trial or older version so that it produces results for the whole drive)
a) Health
b) Full error scan

8) Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

chkdsk /b /v

Run these chkdsk switches on all drives using the syntax: chkdsk /b /v C: or chkdsk /b /v D: or chkdsk /b /v E: etc.

Make sure that the windows drive runs overnight while sleeping.

C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /b /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

Type: Y

Reboot as needed.

9) After completing all chkdsk /b /v run:

https://www.tenforums.com/attachmen...-files-use-bsod-debugging-chkdskfromevent.bat

Batch files for use in BSOD debugging - Windows 10 Help Forums

Batch files for use in BSOD debugging - Windows 10 Help Forums

Make sure that this runs only after the prior three steps for each drive.

10) Run HD Sentinel (all drives) > post images or share links (do not run until posting results for each steps 1, 2, and 3)
a) Overview
b) Temperature
c) SMART

11) Run Memtest86+ for 8 or more passes > take pictures > post images or share links

Just 1 error is a test fail and testing can be aborted.

The more the passes the better the testing conditions.

It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to detect malfunctioning RAM.

The RAM can be tested all at one time or one at a time in the same DIMM.

12) The BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends International, LLC. F37e, 09/08/2023

Upgrade the BIIOS to the most up to date non-beta BIOS

13) These steps can be performed overnight while sleeping:
a) Sea Tools Long generic test (all drives)
b) HD Tune Full error scan (all drives)
c) chkdsk /b /v (all drives)
d) Memtest86+ for 8 or more passes

I run Tuneup_Plus_Log.bat again, got the same error message. I then searched for the output using Download Everything and it doesn't exist.

I have no non Microsoft antivirus or firewall installed.

I just tried the tuneup plus in safemode with networking and got the same result

I ran the Tuneup.bat and that seem to work, its just Tuneup_Plus_Log.

I just realised Tuneup Plus Log is from the Win 10 forum, will this work on Win 11?

Tuneup plus works on windows 11 and 10.

These are some commands that you can run manually now. Others I'll provide at a later time

Administrative command prompt:

Sfc /scannow
Dism /online /cleanup-image / sharehealth
Dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Sfc /scannow
Chkdsk /scan

Please post images displaying the comnands with results

not trying to interfere here as most of this is above my head, but.
you are have a WD SN770 2TB which using HMB (Host Memory Bus)
there is a problem with the HMB on the 2TB M2 type SSD's
there maybe a firmware update or this reg change can be used.

as stated i am really not trying to interfere but just pointing out a problem with WD and HMB.
best of luck, Steve ..

HD Sentinel: Both drives were at maximum lifetime temperatures.

Scannow: Corrupt files and successfully repaired.

Chkdsk C: corrections were made to the file system

1) Provide better computer cooling

2) Run chkdsk /b /v D:

3) After completing the new chkdsk /b / v D: > run the V2 log collector > post a share link into the newest post

4) Post new HD Sentinel results after improving computer cooling

5) Download and install one or more:

6) Run each of these bat scripts: > post images for any errors > run as needed again in safe mode with networking

(make sure extract all is clicked and that the only installed non-Microsoft AV software is Microsoft defender)

When you say that the SSDs have reached their maximum lifetime temperatures do you mean that the total cumulative temperature that has been recorded over the time period the SSDs have been in use has reached cumulative temperature that is to be expected during the average life time of the units?

Critical Update for Western Digital and SanDisk Internal SSDs That Can Cause BSOD on Windows 11 24H2
You have SN770 and firmware version 731030WD. Last one is 731130WD. Download WD Dashboard and install the latest firmware for WD drives.

I'm not sure that is the culprit, but you can try it :) I got bsods when installed 24H2, but after firmware update and clean install of Windows 11 24H2 my pc run flawless.
