I'm hoping someone can explain why the calendar date format (e.g., "8 October") is not in agreement with my settings ("October 8")?

The setting you have in the second image I believe is for you taskbar clock/date and not the calendar. They are two separate things.

I really appreciate your quick reply. Could you kindly direct me to where I can find the calendar date format settings? I can't seem to find it anywhere when I open the calendar app itself.

Right click the date at the right hand side of the taskbar and read through the settings.. Probably a good idea to UNtick the automatic feature.

I did find this... if you follow the path you might be able to adjust the format of the calendar date.. EDIT
I played with it a bit and it does modify the format but only to a degree.

One more thing when you get to the language region part you need to click on "regional format' to pull up change formats..
nothing is easy..
