Win 11 Language Takes 4GB

I have added an additional language in Windows 11 only basic typing . It shows only 100 MB size during installation, but after installation is completed, it takes up around 4 GB of hard disk space

How are you measuring that the additional language is taking up 4 GB?

Before installing the additional language, the free space was 167 GB. After the installation was completed, the free space dropped to 163 GB, and no Windows updates or other software were installed

I tried an experiment:

1. Ran Disk Cleanup before adding a new language.​

2. From Settings, added a new Language ie. French (France).​

3. Check disk space again. Free space before and after was about the same.​

You can also press the Windows key +I. In Settings/System/Storage.
Turn on Storage Sense.
Check the Cleanup Recommendations. Delete any Temporary files, or Download files etc
