My Power options are set to turn off screen after 10 minutes - but it does not. I did the CMD powerconfig routine. I even did an in place reinstall to try to fix this without success. There was a registry change I tried as well. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Peter

Turn off display, just turns off the display until there's mouse movement or a key is pressed.
Turn off display and lock computer, will turn off the display and the next time someone moves the mouse or hits a key on the keyboard... they will end up at the login screen.
I used to set mine to ten minutes also, but I like this a LOT better.
Especially the "Turn off display and Lock computer".
I use a password to login... so for me... it really does lock the computer.

Thank you Ghot for these display tweaks. I have indeed added them to my machine. Nevertheless, I'd like my display to turn itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity. It used to do this, but the past couple of weeks I've lost the capability despite doing all the settings I could find for this. Many thanks again. Peter
