No doubt that was intended to be humorous.Who wants to Wait?
I've been running 24H2 for months, just not the MS formal release.
Some folks are just SLOW!
No doubt that was intended to be humorous.
Failed.
Goodness knows the answer to that question. MS may not know themselves when the 'official' release date will be.Do you think 24H2 will be released 8. October or in September?
Anyway, 24H2 is available now for anyone who wants to use it.
If I understand that correctly, it might affect you in a corporate environment.failed as in epic fail?
good thing I didn't update to 24H2 yet because of this
Microsoft: Windows 11 24H2 MSU update installs failing with “Operation is not supported"
I installed (26100.1742) using ISO from 23H2 on PC. Can i update to 24H2 Stable using Windows Update when it will be released or only with 24H2 ISO Stable?
Yes, as long as your PC meets the 24H2 requirements it will upgrade through Windows Update. Likely within the next 3-4 weeksI installed (26100.1742) using ISO from 23H2 on PC. Can i update to 24H2 Stable using Windows Update when it will be released or only with 24H2 ISO Stable?
24H2 Beta Channel before release? It's still 23H2.
You could make an argument for there being two RP channels at present, one for those who took the 24H2 update when offered in Windows Update, and another for those who didn't and stayed on 23H2.Whatever the virtues or failings of the 24H2 versions people are using, it has little to do with SP80's question: why is the Beta channel still on 23H2? Seems like it should be ahead of the RP channel. But it's not.
Beta should move to 24H2 soon, once the final 24H2 is available to everyone. Then Dev will probably move onto the Next versionYou could make an argument for there being two RP channels at present, one for those who took the 24H2 update when offered in Windows Update, and another for those who didn't and stayed on 23H2.
My theory is that there are effectively two 'beta' channels now while 23H2 and 24H2 are both still getting developments. For now the Dev channels is behaving more like a 'beta' for 24H2 while Beta is still for 23H2.
That would contravene MS's policy to be utterly illogical about Insider build numbering.Beta should move to 24H2 soon, once the final 24H2 is available to everyone. Then Dev will probably move onto the Next version
So we'll see Beta 24H2 > RP 24H2 > public releases again
