Insider Windows 11 Insider Canary build 27913.1000 released - July 30

UPDATE 8/08:

 Windows Blogs:

Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 27913 to the Canary Channel.

[UPDATE 7/31] The SDK for Build 27913 is now available. We plan to publish SDKs for Canary Channel builds again going forward.

Changes and Improvements

[General]

  • This update includes a small set of general improvements and fixes that improve the overall experience for Insiders running this build on their PCs.

[Input]

  • [ADDED 8/1] The new pointer indicator accessibility setting for low vision Windows users that originally rolled out last year is now re-enabled in Build 27913.

[Settings]

  • The search box in Settings will now be located at the top center to deliver a more consistent and better search experience.

Fixes

[General]

  • Fixed an issue where the Windows Vista boot sound was unexpectedly being used instead of the Windows 11 boot sound.

[Desktop background]

  • Did some underlying work to help address issues which could result in the desktop background unexpectedly becoming black rather than displaying the expected wallpaper image. If you continue experiencing issues, please don’t hesitate to report them in the Feedback Hub under Desktop Environment > Background and Wallpaper.

[Settings]

  • Fixed an issue in the latest builds which could cause Settings to crash when interacting with the options under Settings > System > Power & Battery.
  • Fixed an underlying issue where some of the apostrophes across text in Settings and settings-related dialogs were not displaying correctly and were showing random characters.

I installed this beta last night on the usual External SSD. Today I installed a couple of apps - EasyBCD & SSD-LED apps, both work good as expected

Stuck at 30% working on updates after it rebooted the second time. Any idea?
Then undoing changes and back to 27909.1000. So much for the minor changes of 27913. Got install error 0xc1900101.

Retrying now with W.U. again, I hope it works this time.
What is this new little square on the screen? I never seen that before. 😵‍💫

This canary build,

After “working on updates 30%”, then restart, stuck at completely black screen without any text and indicator , can't do any actions, press power button force to restart, it shows: "udoing changes made to the computer" try again many times still the same, Does anyone have this issue?

I've had that happen with a couple of the last few builds. I waited for what seemed like forever before the screen started showing activity.

Got there in the end, but had to use the UUP Utility and install as a fresh OS.

Updating managed to install and restart, but then upon reaching the login screen it crashed and repeated in an infinite death loop.

Fortunately it's only Hyper-V so not a major headache.

I wonder how long did you wait to see the activity

I can't give an actual time. After about 5 minutes or so, I went and did something else.
