How are you taking the temperature? Is the App or utility fully certified to work with Windows 11 - the fact the the temp is exactly twice the old one would suggest a simple scaling issue.

Especially as we have not seen this issue in any other system (AFAIK)

I've looked everywhere I can think of and have not seen any other mention of this issue, I would stay with Windows 10 for now and if you do go back to Win11 try to get an independent temp reading - I always carry an IR Thermometer in my go-bag for this sort of thing to cross check temps after major hardware/ software changes.

I would also contact Nzxt or your Processor manufacturer directly and check if they are aware of any others with your issue

I have the same problem. At first my cpu went to 90 and sometimes 95 too much. that went away but for obvious reasons I did not use my pc that day anymore. Then for a few days it was fine until yesterday when I played warzone again for the first time. My cpu temps started going towards 90 I looked at Ryzen master and saw that the CPU never throttled down even though it was getting really hot! I fixed it bt going in the the power options and changing my power plan minimum state for the processor.

Only the one post from philippe121121 almost a month ago but they did say this ...

"I fixed it by going in the the power options and changing my power plan minimum state for the processor."

this would likely be in the BIOS but could be the one in Windows

35 degrees on full load on a 9900k sounds super low on that cooler, Seen people saying best they can get is mid 50's on that one.

The first thing to look at is press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and go in to Task Manager and click the Performance tab. Take a look at what the CPU is doing and if while the computer is at idle the CPU is running at the full Base Speed or higher, then go into Control Panel>System and Security>Power Options and change the Power plan from High Performance to Balanced. You should then see in Task Manager the CPU speed drop well below its base speed at idle.

Hmm thats weird. I'm running on full performance and my cpu drops to 4ghz instead of the 5.1 I'm usually at and I'm chilling at 35 degrees on air

I have the same CPU in my System 1 as yours and had no problem with it. 3.8Ghz is the base clock so you're not much above that at 4Ghz. After installing Win 11 on my System 2 which is non compliant, I noticed one day the CPU running at the base clock speed and never throttling down when at idle so I changed my power plan for that system. Still, the temps were only around 29-30 before the problem, and 31-32 while the problem was there so it wasn't a major problem temp wise. Just letting those with high temps look at the first thing they can try. The OP may have been overclocking as well I don't know.

Just letting those with high temps look at the first thing they can try. The OP may have been overclocking as well I don't know.
Yeah it seems strange, As soon as i start playing games etc all cores go to 5.1ghz without issue

Perhaps not so strange though. The Performance option in the Power Options allows the CPU to always run at its full clock speed, and yours is pretty much doing that at slightly above the base, 4Ghz, to the over 5Ghz you have set for the overclock, so you're running on a Performance plan that ends up being a "balanced" plan between the base and the overclock you have set.

I am having the same issue, since I started using windows 11 my temps have shot up to 95 degrees. Solved by going to advanced power plan settings then processor power management and setting both the minimum and maximum state to 99%.

So i installed windows 11 yesterday. Installed all the apps etc. And start to playing so games. My CPU goes to 80 degrees... never saw something like this on windows 10. Max 40 degrees on CPU when Load. Personally i dont recommend install windows 11. Because its not build properly. Yea i know its new there is allot issues to fix with a updates.
You apparently are the only one having problem with this. . 80 degrees is not hot, unless you are meaning Celsius, which would be around 176°F. I have an 8-core Processor and the stock fan and mine only runs between 70-80 F. . . So, it's normal
