I don't see the Windows team investing in a new imaging solution when competitors have filled the market. Their focus (from executive management) is to bundle more AI features.

Since OneDrive offers a path to charging you for extra storage, giving a full featured backup solution for free doesn't make sense. You're not picking Windows over Mac or Linux just because it has a better built-in backup tools.

- legacy Windows Backup and Restore (imaging)
- Windows Backup (OneDrive)
