Windows 11 21H2
As we all are getting to know, on June 24th, Microsoft has some pretty big news planned. A lot of hemming and hawing has been going around, but rumors point to an announcement of Windows 11 as a new operating system.

According to website Videocardz Windows 11 leaked images are now showing up thanks to posters on Chinese site Baidu as well as independent confirmation from TheVerge. https://videocardz.com/newz/microso...rating-system-has-been-leaked-ahead-of-launch

Based upon that, I've installed 21996.1.210529.1541 via .ISO into a Windows 10 Hyper-V VM, and have taken screenshots of the installation process.

Here you go.

Lol - I'm probably one of 900 Million people sharing such pics right now..... Maybe even more now.

I deleted the original VM I created and created a new one in a separate folder from my CompTIA VMs, and this time the check for updates took a LOOOOOOOONG time.

Also, I had turned off Secure Boot in my BIOS - fixed that before making the new VM. Crossing fingers that it let's me log in. Although since I used my Microsoft account again I may have the same issue as the servers get overloaded.....

If they do, I'll make it one more time and make it a local admin only account.

Managed to get it installed in VBox. It's not activated as I don't have a spare key but worth a look. And yes I also got the .NET CU. :)

Yes, I've installed both directly on a physical machine, and on a native boot VHD (also a physical installation).

I got refused ostensibly because of lack of TPM 2.0 which is built into MB.

Odd. I've only done it on the VM, as I really don't feel like putting it on bare metal right now (as I'd have to move too many things around, particularly from an SSD to my RUSTY RAID 1 drives) to see if it works. But it installed in a Hyper-V VM even with BIOS Secure Boot disabled, though I did go back and start over after enabling Secure Boot in the BIOS.

I also have TPM built in, and it recognized mine just fine, again, in the VM, though.

See, though now I'm tempted to make a nice big backup of my existing OS (2 drives worth, as I split OS + programs from Data ( \Users ) onto 2 separate physical NVMe SSDs.

It would take some time, for sure. maybe I could look at one of @Kari's tutorials to add the VHD to my boot menu to boot it live....

Macrium Reflect worked for me.

John, do nothing yet! I just noticed, that the script creates an MBR VHD.

In W10 it is irrelevant, if the native boot VHD is MBR or GPT, also on GPT systems. But, W11 requires GPT, so must edit the scripts in that post. Give me half an hour.
