Okay so I have a preinstalled app called Huawei PC Manager, which is somewhat similar to Lenovo Vantage.
Just like that one, it puts a docked, large icon to the right edge of my system tray, next to the notification centre's icon. This is useful as it is an important menu.
It works fine in Windows 10.

However, in Windows 11, this icon gets "downgraded" to a small, standard system tray icon and as so, this is very annoying.

How could I put it back there? Here's a screenshot that explains it all, please take a look:

As it seems to be a bug I posted a feedback hub issue entry for this, could you all please so be kind to like (upvote) this so Microsoft can see? The bumps are very much appreciated, here's the link: Windows Insider Program

Hello @glasskuter ,

Thank you so much for answering! As per your suggestion, I tried reinstalling it but sadly it did not help.
I dug into this deeper and it seems that Windows 11's taskbar does not support toolbars, and technically this would be a toolbar.

Everybody please upvote this suggestion

MS do not like things interfering with the taskbar as it was one of the big differences visually in 11. I had similar and used a tweak to change the taskbar back to win 10 style then it worked

not support toolbars
I'm sorry, I misunderstood. I'm not familiar with the program. Did not know it was a toolbar. I thought it was a programs icon. My bad.

If you want the "old style" taskbar, then ExplorerPatcher can use new toolbars

It is not your bad, it is my bad, I didn't specify it well enough. I'm sorry! It is a program's icon, but it is positioned as a toolbar. It doesn't get placed in the system tray bar, but it goes right of the time stamp, just next to the notification bar icon.

See the upper image:
huaweiiconerror-png.15668

I'm afraid, after much digging, that this is just not supported by Windows 11's new taskbar. ExplorerPatcher seems like a good workaround however I am wondering if this can be fixed officially without any hacks.

Thank you for trying to help me. Meanwhile could you please make sure to upvote this feedback hub entry, so Microsoft can see it to fix it? It is truly appreciated. Thank you.
