Solved Windows 11 runs in an old desktop by swapping SSD

Try to run Win11CompChk after you installed Windows 11 on those incompatible PCs.

It will says incompatible, of course.
Even the Insider Program says the same. But still, I got updates.

I was on Windows 7 Ultimate before this, and interested in trying Windows 11 .. unfortunately my machine failed TPM verification, even you guys if on Windows 7 / Windows 10 .. able to check TPM compatibility via START -> RUN the type TPM.MSC .. press ENTER, you'll get this;

the solution is to get the ISO which has TPM compatibility checking disabled / removed :)

Another thing. Use compatibility checks. Win11CompChk works fine with Windows 7

Windows 11 Compatibility Check uses Windows CMD/PowerShell commands to check compatibility.
If you want to make sure, the batch file is readable… you can check if the file uses 3rd party tools to check compatibility.

An old laptop just arrive today. Will see can it run Win11 or not..
I have yet to find one that can't - I started my testing from the bottom up....

Let's see, which of my machines would be the lowest spec and least appropriate to install Windows 11 on?

That would be my little netbook, an Acer Aspire One D270.

Specs: Legacy BIOS, no TPM or secure boot. Intel Atom N2600, 2GB RAM. Even the display at 1024x600 doesn't meet Win11's minimum requirement of a "High definition (720p) display". And there are no display drivers available, so it's stuck with the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.
Windows 11 ran without issue. Well, when I say 'ran' it's more like 'walked'. No 64-bit OS should ever be asked to run in just 2GB RAM :lmao:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update.

Damn, you already some steps ahead. And yes, I will never expect about RUNNING when we are using low-spec machines, just WALKING like you just said. And that would be my homework now, specially to slim-down Win11 to make sure it can RUN. I added 2GB more RAM to the HTPC I mentioned earlier to make it not only WALK. I can say now it's JOG.

Make it yourself using an ISO from UUPDUMP and a Windows 10 .ISO.

Don't get .ISOs randomly from the Internet. Bad idea.
