My friend has a Lenovo laptop running Windows 11 S -

Version=21H2
OS Build= 22000.978

Something has happened to her system in the last couple of weeks that she is no longer able to reach certain websites (e.g., Facebook, Home Depot, Wayfair, etc). After about 30 seconds to maybe a minute of the spinning circle in the Edge browser tab, she gets the message that she can't access the website. She can however access sites like Google, Amazon, AOL, etc. This makes absolutely no sense to me.

These are the messages that come back from the inaccessible websites -
1=Your connection was interrupted, and
2=Hmmm...can't reach this page...www.facebook.com took too long to respond.

The first thing I tried was to switch her out of W11 S and into W11 Home, but to do that, you have to access the Microsoft Store, and that is also one of the websites the system cannot access. The next thing I tried, was to do a reinstall from the local device with the option to keep the user's files intact. That seemed to work fine, going through all phases with no error messages. Unfortunately, the problem remained exactly as before. The only other thing I can think of, is to reinstall from the cloud, which I believe is one of the options. Maybe some virus got into the system and also affected the reinstall. I can't run any 3rd party virus check as the only virus protection in W11 S mode is Windows Defender, which gives no indication of any problem.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Stew
