Solved Windows 11 strange behavior

Ive had this happen in the past year once or twice. And I would say after a windows update it went away but now its back again. when i just click once on the calendar/time lower right, and then when i click on the start menu once and then go to click apps/full app list top right youll see what happens its a ghosting highlight and i have to click 2, 3 or more times in the start menu to get it to change menus. I am attaching a link to the video shot i took using Techsmith Snagit. Its a mp4.

I downloaded and viewed your video but was unable to replicate the issue, things worked as usual.

I watched the video and that's a little odd. What was your last update? My last update was the 2022-12 Cumulative Update (KB5021255) and I don't have that issue.

Specs are showing this Windows 11 Pro Version 21H2(OS Build 22000.795). This what you have now ?

My build is at 22621. 963 Try running Windows Updates and see if anything changes.

I can't replicate the issue either, and I'm running 22H2 RTM. Anyway, as jds63 noted you appear the be running an older version of 11, and f this is Insider, perhaps that's the issue?

Strange behavior

Your WIN update appears to be old. As someone mentioned, try Win Update as see what happens.

No I just got an update on tuesday and this is it.. Version 21H2(OS Build 22000.1335)
I am NOT on the insider ring. This is public release. There are no newer updates available to me. I am running mostly AMD parts so maybe I haven't got a newer version because of compatibility issues? IDK.

Which is Version 21H2(OS Build 22000.1335). I dont want to force an update to version 22H2 either because there are so many issues.

Version 21H2 is from the Second Half of 2021 [a year old now]. Win11 is now on the released or RTM Version 22H2 Build 22621.963.

Hmm, well I do not have any updates via clicking get updates in win settings..?? So without losing any of my files programs etc how do get updated? And without doing a total reinstall. Have way to much to lose. Yes I do have daily backups of my system. I use EaseUs Todo pro for that.

If you change your mind you can go to Microsoft Update Catalog and download the update.

So..download it from there and what? Place the file say on my desktop and just click on it to install and bam? Ill update, but which one do I download on there? Do i have to update in incremental updates or just use the latest one? Theres the 2022-09 Dynamic Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for 64 based systems(KB5017590)
