I tried everything and I cannot get 23H2. It keeps updating 22H2. I turned insider off, that di not work because I restarted and it's update 22H2. I checked all advanced options and nothing.

How can I get 22H2 to update to 23H2

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
First, download the 23H2 .iso / create a 23H2 bootable USB drive using the MS Media Creation Tools.

When complete, follow the instructions in this tutorial Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade using Option 2 - this method can preserve your apps and user data - see Option 2: Step 14

PLEASE NOTE: As with any upgrade, please ensure that your system has been backed up, preferably by taking an image of your system.

Ian Mosley, I did exactly that and got 22H2 when I did a fresh install, even though the site said it was 23H2.

I can only answer for my laptop. I am not an Insider and just wait for the updates to show up. I received an update to 23H2 on Nov 7, 2023, and two 23H2 updates since then. The latest 23H2 (KB5032288) just showed up in my update check. I'll probably download and install it sometime tomorrow. So far, I and not on the Insider Ring.

    This computer is connected to my IC-735 radio.
There was a time when the media creation tool was installing 22H2 when it stated it was 23H2 but I believe this has been fixed. Mounting the .iso & running setup would install 23H2 or just install the enablement package.

As already mentioned, the MCT was creating a Win 11 22h2 USB instead of a Win 11 23h2. This has been fixed.
I suggest you download the iso file, mount it and run setup.exe.

Do you have 'Get the latest updates....' turned on in Windows Update? If so, turn it off and then check for updates. You should then see 23H2 offered as an optional update.

It sounds counter-intuitive, but it works. That's how I got it for all my machines. :wink:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

tried it out, Nothing. I had a security update and a cumulative update yesterday, and today another security update but alas nothing else in my regular updates. Thanks though.
