I've got a question for them that I'd love to ask.

Why is there such an emphasis on the emoji in a lot of what Microsoft (and others) seem to be focusing on? As in what is the real reason for spending all this (development) time on being able to have an overabundance of faces to express ... whatever?

However, I feel that it would not go over well.
