I'm trying to troubleshoot a game by removing one stick of ram.

Currently have 2 sticks dual channel.

When I remove one stick and reboot, Windows will load the login screen and then freeze. Keyboard and mouse just frozen.

When I restore both sticks of ram, bootup is fine.

System is i7-12600k with z690 motherboard.

I tried different brand ram as single channel, and this would make the login page freeze as well.

Any clue what is going on?
