Hi.
after modifying windows image with ntlite, now I have a problem with windows explorer view settings.
the default option for this pc view is "tiles" and when you open a drive or a folder it changes to "details".
in my image this pc and subfolders view option are the same and when I change one of them all subfolder view settings go the same.
for example if I choose "tiles" for this pc, all subfolders in C drive will show "tiles" which is not a good option for me.
windows explorer is a bit abnormal. sometimes after a few minutes it fixes itself !
can you help me what did I wrong in this preset?

1. Don't turn off ShellBags.
2. Don't ask NTLite questions on ElevenForum.

AI suggests this answer (which sounds plausible to me):
Setting the BagMRU Size to 1 means Windows will only store the view settings for the very last folder you interacted with. When you open a new folder, its view settings will overwrite the previous one.

ShellBags is the reg "hive" where Explorer remembers your custom folder views. A common problem is when you run out of entries.
The default size is 5000 entries, and can be increased to 20000.

NTLite cannot actually set BagMRU Size to 0 (don't remember any folder views), because that's illegal. So it settles for value 1.

Explorer has room to remember exactly one folder's settings. The next folder you set a custom view becomes the template for every other folder in the future.

The preferred way to manage folder views is to use @LesFerch's WinSetView, so the default folder templates are as you like them. That way, it's rare to have to override the default views, and customize a folder.

Thanks dear garlin. now I can understand how it works.
