Checking to see if this is a general problem or unique to my system. For the past several months, Phone Link has not been issuing popup notifications. Anyone using Phone Link and seeing this or using it and still getting notifications, eg, from new text messages, etc.?

Thanks

Phone is paired. App is working fine other than notifications. I just uninstalled and reinstalled and will see if this fixes it. Thanks

No joy. uninstalled/reinstalled and tried the applicable suggestions in the linked article.

BrianInEngland, do you get pop-up notifications in windows for text messages? That's the most important app for me.

I just realized that I have the same problem. I found the message Troubleshooting notifications in the Phone Link and followed it. On my phone toggling notifications for the Link to Windows app did not help.

I then looked in the Windows 11 settings and found out that I disabled Notifications. I then turned it back on.

You might also scroll down and check to make sure that Notifications are turned on for Phone Link. Mine was already on.

To test this I logged onto my Google Voice account. I then sent a test text message to my phone. I got the expected popup at the lower right corner of my laptop screen.

Thanks, but my notifications are on for phone link. I toggled those settings off an on with no change.

To be clear, I get notifications in the notification center, but not the pop-up banner notifications.

Finally got it fixed! Something in here worked:

Stop & Restart Windows Push Notification System Service
1. Open the Run dialog on your Windows 11 PC, type Services.msc in it, and press Enter to open the Services tab.
2. In the Services, search for the Windows Push Notification System Service and double-tap on it to move to the properties section.'
3. Now, select Stop in the Service status section to halt it, and then click on the Restart option to reinstate it again.

Repair Windows Apps
1. So first, open the Windows Powershell app on your Windows 11 PC with administrative privileges.
2. Subsequently, execute the below commands one-by-one in the console to repair the Windows apps.
Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
3. Once done, restart your system and check if the issue is fixed.

Re-Register Action Center
1. Open the Windows Search Box, type Windows PowerShell, and select Run as administrator under the app to run it with admin rights.
2. Next, paste the below command into the Windows PowerShell program and press the Enter key to execute it.
Get-AppxPackage | % { Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppxManifest.xml" -verbose }
